LOCAL Jewellery designer/ Manufacturer Fenella Baskerville provides a unique Jewellery Service that will add a bit of ‘Sparkle’ into your life.
The unique nature of bespoke design means that I have a wide variety of challenging and interesting commissions all of which I design and make with you in mind. Either one to one or online.
Whether you are looking for a special gift for a loved one, a thank you, a keepsake, a memory ring made up of pieces of jewellery inherited and treasured but never worn or even just a personal indulgence. All good reasons to visit me.
I’ve spent over 25 years in the trade a career which started as a hobby in my Grandfather’s workshop and eventually became my full time job which I love with a passion.
After studying at Manchester University I spent a few years in New York on 47th street sitting at the bench, where I gained valuable experience hand making jewellery. I was living the dream! I was then ready for Bond Street where I worked for both David Morris and Stephen Webster. During this time I completed my Professional diamond grading and gemology exams. This period of time gave me the chance to gain all aspects of knowledge within the jewellery trade, from sourcing gems, to design, and the Art of making fine jewellery and also the importance of customer interaction. I was lucky enough at this time to work with A-list celebrities.
When I moved back to Cheshire my hometown being Knutsford it felt the right time to finally set up my own Business and I’ve not looked back, I’ve replaced A-list celebrities with far more interesting people who have given me a glimpse into their ‘World’ and let be inspired by their hopes and dreams for a special, significant piece. ‘I realised, that only now am I Living my Dream in working for myself’ it took a lifetime to get to this stage and I Love my job, I get to make people happy.
I’m inspired by everything that surrounds me, from nature to architecture - turning a Foxglove into a ring, or a beautiful piece of Art Deco Architecture into a wearable piece of sculpture.
I was asked recently, “What the biggest statement piece of jewellery I’ve made so far?” It was a Platinum diamond cuff set with over 10 carats of diamonds and over 100 grammes of platinum, it was quite an ‘Eye Catcher’.
When you commission a piece of jewellery with me it’s an ‘Object of Love’, it can tell a ‘LifeStory’,it doesn’t decompose or break down. It’s something that withstands the test of time, made to the highest standards, to be passed onto future generations. Fenella Baskerville
